To make the extender ready to use or enjoy the extended network’s benefits, it is crucial to set up the extender faultlessly. Though the extender’s setup portal can be accessed by using its default web or IP address and on the WiFi app as well. In the first case, you will need to search for the extender’s default web or IP address. Here, the default web address of Linksys is http//extender.linksys.com and the IP address is 192.168.1.1. Search for any one of both on your device’s web browser but that device must be networked well with your extender. 

In any case, if you are unable to access the setup portal by using the web address, then go for the IP address. If the error still persists, then download the Linksys app on your device from its app store. However, ensure to choose the official app and the software version must be the latest as well. Install the app on your device and do the login on the app window using its username and password. After doing this, carry out the extender setup process by using the app screen directions. Finally, your extender will become in its well-working state.
